A powerful yet efficient 3.5 L V6 engine comes standard with all trims of the 2016 Honda Pilot. The Intelligent Variable Torque Management AWD system is available on all trims and the standard available transmission is a 6-speed automatic with Grade Logic Control. There is also an available 9-speed automatic transmission with idle stop feature. For more safety and better handling, the 2016 Honda Pilot also features an Intelligent Traction Management System. All trims are equipped with great suspension components such as amplitude reactive dampers, MacPherson strut front suspension, a multi-link independent rear suspension as well as electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering (EPS).
The 2016 Honda Pilot redefines the standards
The interior of the Pilot is equipped with an 8″ Display Audio System with available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System. Drivers and passengers will keep safe with Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistance technologies, including the Rear Cross Traffic Monitor system and Road Departure Mitigation system. It seats up to 8 passengers (seven on the Touring version). Front seats are heated and there are available heated second-row outboard seats. The Pilot features a 60/40 split-folding second-row seat or folding captain’s chairs and 60/40 split-folding third-row bench seat. Finally, the standard tri-zone automatic climate control with air-filtration system keeps the driver and passengers cool or warm depending on the season, while the multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines helps with towing. There is also a standard proximity key entry system with push-button start.
On the outside the 2016 Pilot has been greatly improved from the previous version. Available projector-beam LED headlights and available fog lights give the Pilot a bold look. This year, a redesigned aerodynamic roofline and chrome-accented front grille with available 20″ aluminum-alloy wheels are also part of the exterior iterations. A panoramic moonroof is available, and there are standard body-colored door handles with body-colored heated power side mirrors as well as LED taillights. These are just some of the great features of the 2016 Honda Pilot.
